Albertha (née Ribbink) Hietveld, of Kincardine, passed away at Trillium Court, on Monday, June 8th, 2020 in her 93rd year.
Beloved wife of the late Anton Hietveld (2017) of Kincardine.
Dear mother of Joanie (Norm) Gauthier of Kincardine, Jane (Val) Cottrill of Waterloo and Betty Ann (Jerry) McNulty of Kincardine.
Cherished by her grandchildren Danielle (Travis) Vangaver, Curtis (Cassandra) Gauthier, James (Shelly) Cottrill, Martha (Bryan) Fedorak, Sara (Brad) Vinandy, Ali (Travis) Hofstetter, Molly (James) Nixon and Nick McNulty (Aaron Davis) and her great-grandchildren Alex, Alayna, Drew VanGaver, Weston Gauthier, Isla, Cameron, Everly Vinandy, Eli, Annie Hofstetter and Caileigh Nixon.
She will be missed by her sisters Johanna Leeflang, Geraldine Toman and Jan MacDonald and one brother, Albert Ribbink. Also by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her granddaughter Emily Grace Cottrill, parents Albert and Jantje Ribbink, brothers Herman and John and two brothers and two sisters in Holland.
Bertha was kind, energetic and fun loving. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was very musical and played the accordion and harmonica much to the delight of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also liked to garden, knit and crochet, play cards and spend time with Anton at their Florida home. She will be missed.
Due to provincial restrictions, a private family graveside service will take place.
Final resting place, Kincardine Cemetery.
