Obituary

Anne Marie Tanner (née MacDonald) of Kincardine, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at the Huron Shores Hospice in Tiverton, on October 28th, 2020, in her 84th year.

Anne Marie is survived by Bryce Tanner, her husband of 59 years. Anne was preceded in death by her Mother, Murdena MacDonald (née MacSween). She is also survived by her 2 children, Kim Tanner (Peter Harding) and Greg (Angie) Tanner. She was a proud Nannie to Deanie, Georgia and Ryan and was always very interested and involved in their activities.

Anne was an avid skier in her younger years and spent time on the Kincardine tennis courts in the summer with her best friend Ivanka Zuzek. A great lover of the outdoors, Anne was a very active walker with Bryce right up to the last few months. She was mostly known for being a kind heart and her kids noted that she was never mad at them a day in their lives. Anne particularly enjoyed her time with her high school friends (the Big Seven) which included her life-long friend and cousin Diane McGaw.

A Celebration of Life will be held on a tentative date of Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the family home in Kincardine. Please visit Anne’s Facebook page for further updates. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Huron Shores Hospice would be greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Donations can be made through the funeral home or through the Huron Shores Hospice website www.huronshoreshospice.ca Cheques can also be mailed to P.O. Box 242, Tiverton, ON N0G 2T0.

Anne's wonderful smile and manner would light up the room. She was always had a positive attitude, and was up for everything, especially new adventures. These qualities made her fun to be around, and an ideal travel companion. She will be sorely missed by her friends. Pat and Charlie Hawkes
