So sorry to hear of Blake's passing. Many times we hear the term a Real Gentleman being applied. In Blake's case this was the perfect way to explain his character. During my time at Bruce Power flying in and out of the airport things would often be disrupted and nothing was ever too much trouble for Blake. He would clear the snow from my car...tow me out of trouble..pick me up and drop me off and basically was one of the most reliable and pleasant people I have ever dealt with. He could always be counted on to share a story with me (sometimes I had heard them before but his enthusiasm was infectious). I particularly remember a time when we had an oil leak from a transformer into the lake and Blake took me up many times to let me see for myself what was going on and the success of our efforts to contain the spread. I am sure many people will have stories of Blake, he is one of those community characters who sadly are irreplaceable. May he rest in peace.

Blake was a great aviation mentor and flying instructor. My last flight with him was not long ago when we were practicing cross wind landings, he had amazing skill. John Bird

To share all the things I loved and enjoyed about my brother would take a novel! He taught me lots growing up on the farm from driving a tractor to bridling my pony. He always made me proud to call him my big brother and I will miss him terribly! Till we meet again Blake!
