Edgar Reist, of Tiverton, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, on Tuesday, October 27th, 2020 in his 97th year.

Dear husband of the late Helen (née Roppel) Reist, who passed away on May 26th, 2020.

Cherished father of Wayne (Marilyn Reburn) Reist of Underwood, Brian (Mary Montgomery) Reist of Holland Landing, Sharon Reist (John Kimlin) of London, David (Judy Dixon) Reist of Chute-a-Bloudeu, Raymond (Barb McEwen) Reist of Kinburn and Arlene (Sven Frackelton) Reist of Sarasota, Florida.

Beloved grandfather of Julie (Mike) Kruiderink, Kevin Reist, Nicholas Reist, Ben Reist, Christine Reist, Michael Reist, Andrew Zeitz and Eric Reist and 6 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents Addison and Laura (née Hafermehl) Reist, sisters Vera Bartman, Adela Holling, Carolyn Johannes and Alma Schweitzer and brothers Harvey, Lorne and Percy Reist.

Edgar and Helen raised their family on the home farm, Lot 10, Concession 6 of Bruce Township.

Following Edgar’s wishes cremation has taken place.

Edgar will be buried with Helen, together, in Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin.

Memorial donations to the Kincardine Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
