Agnes “Irene” Gowing (née Curle), of Tiverton, passed away with family by her side on Monday, October 22nd, 2018 in her 91st year.
Beloved wife of the late Howard Gowing.
Loving mother of John (Katherine) Gowing of Tiverton.
Devoted Nana of Susan Gowing of Durham, Andrew (Rowan) Gowing of Ottawa & Leanne Gowing of Tiverton.
Predeceased by her parents William and Elizabeth Curle, siblings Jean (Alex) Marshall and Robert Curle and 3 brothers and sisters-in-law.
She was a wonderful, spunky, determined lady with a great sense of humour and a bright outlook on life. She and Howard worked in partnership for 50 years building a family and running multiple businesses.
Interment will take place at the Tiverton Cemetery on Friday, November 9th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home following the interment from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.. The memorial service to celebrate Irene’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.
Memorial donations to the Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton or Tiverton Park Manor Residents' Activity Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
