Margaret Jean Gilchrist (née Lamont), peacefully with family by her side at Huron Shores Hospice, Tiverton on Wednesday, October 24th, 2018, in her 90th year.
Beloved wife of the late Ron Gilchrist who predeceased her in May 2016.
Loving mother of Brian Gilchrist and his wife Margie, Carol Woods and her husband Bruce and Barbara Laverock and her husband Tom.
Missed by her grandchildren, Tiffany (Andy), Trevor, Kellye (Sean), Alicia (Danny), Kent (Ashley), Matthew, Alex (Blair), and Meghan and great-grandchildren, Maddy, Julianna, Molly, Kailen, Keston, Raleigh “Rolly” and Capen.
Fondly remembered by siblings, Joe Lamont, Keith Lamont (Joan) and Lynne Lamont, sister-in-law Audrey Lamont and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Turner and Irene (née Foster) Lamont, brothers George Lamont (Bernetta) and Wilmer Lamont, sister Eleanor MacDonald (Alex) and in-laws Kay Lamont, Jim Gilchrist (Clara) and Jessie Pedlar (Ron).
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Interment Purdy Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Huron Shores Hospice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
