Jennifer, Christine, Margaret and all your family, my heartfelt condolences to you all. Though I have never met any of you I feel as though I know you through the numerous, almost daily, emails that Joan has written during the 18 years of our friendship. She was so proud of every single one of you.
Joan and I shared life’s ups and downs and I have been astounded by her determination and strong will. She had a naturally gentle, caring, generous nature and a wonderful sense of humour. I am blessed to have had Joan in my life as a cousin and moreover as a very good friend. I miss her and the memories will linger forever.

It was with much sadness in my heart to hear about Joan's passing.
> She was a wonderful beautiful lady. I know she will be missed big
> time by your Chapter.
> Joan and I became good friends over the years as she organized the
> Annual Theatre Day in Kincardine. She worked so hard to make it all
> happen in a perfect way for the Red Hat Chapters in our part of the
> world. She worried and fretted that everything was perfect for us.
> I'm so sorry for your loss. Please convey my condolences to your Red
> Hat Sisters as they mourn the loss of a precious Red Hat Sister.

Hopefully you and Joan's daughters can do a Theatre Day
to honour Joan. That would be a great tritute.
All is well here. I moved from the Hanover area to cambridge in the fall of 2020.
I am enjoying my condo . I keep in touch with the Hanover girls.
Blessings with Love & Hugs, Louise

It is with deep sorrow I inform you that our Queen Joan Wood passed away peacefully after weeks of pain.

She was a stylish lady who lead us with a ready smile and a great sense of humour. She will be missed by us all but remembered fondly.

Sending our condolences to our dear Raspberry Tart sisters in the passing of your beloved Queen, Joan. She was such a great lady to talk with especially during our get togethers in the summer time at the Chinese restaurant & town hall shows. She will be greatly missed.

Sincerely with big hugs
