Obituary

John Clarke McKay, of Kincardine, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Hospital-Kincardine, on Saturday, May 30th, 2020 in his 61st year.

Devoted father to Aiden McKay, husband, brother and friend.

John enjoyed people. He was happiest at get-togethers with family and friends who were always entertained by his humour and wit. John had a background in the food industry and enjoyed cooking and eating good food. We could find him manning the stove or the campfire whenever there was a crowd around.

He travelled as much as possible and that fit well with his adventurous spirit.

John was known to be a smart and creative man, qualities which stood him well as an entrepreneur, working and managing pastry shops in the Fairmont Hotel's kitchens, a bakery in Moncton, and most recently a local handy-man business.

Thank you to his friends Andrew, Steve, Mike S., Eian and Mike M. who's concern for John were true supports. Thank you to SBGH palliative care nurse Trudy who, due to Covid-19, made a difficult situation a little easier.

John is survived by his son Aiden, Debbie, siblings Sandra and Coral Pellerin, Ken and Kim McKay and Doucet and Ann McKay and many nieces and nephews.

We pray that John has found the peace that appeared to elude him these past few years.
Good Bye, Johnny McKay.

A celebration of John's life will be held at a later date due to provincial restrictions.

John was a great guy, he always welcomed me into his house and made me feel at home. Ive known John as long as Ive known Aiden. John always had a story to tell and would make anyone laugh. I remember after any late night out Aiden and I had with friends, we'd be sure to wake up to John cooking us a hearty breakfast. Rest easy John, you won't be forgotten
