Joseph “Joe” Harold Harnick, of Huron Kinloss, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Kincardine Hospital, on Wednesday, November 18th, 2020 in his 69th year - gone to glory in heaven with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Joe is survived by Madelyne Gaye Harnick (née Hollingshead), his wife of 42 years.

Loving father of John (Danica) Harnick.

Also survived by his siblings Wendy (John) Beard, Marianne (Tom) Ramey, Don Harnick, Pamela (Ron) Robb, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Joe was predeceased by his parents Joseph A. and Norma Jean Harnick and his infant son James.

Joe enjoyed many years of work in the nuclear power industry. He had a great interest in history and current events, and greatly enjoyed the many pet cats and dogs he had over the years. Joe hunted and fished and enjoyed the occasional swing on the golf course.

The family thanks the staff at the Owen Sound and Kincardine Hospitals for their excellent care and compassion during Joe’s final days. Thank you to all of our many friends and many family for their support and kindness through these difficult times.

Due to provincial restrictions a private family graveside service was held at the Kincardine Cemetery.

Memorial donations to The Jewish Federation of Canada or The Joshua Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be made through their website.

Saddened to hear this news...
Joe was one of my 1st few mentors when I started at the plant in 2001 while we work on restarting Bruce A.
My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Rest in Peace Joe. (Found your hiring picture from '75!)
