Obituary

Linda Jane (née Clark) Farrell, of Kincardine, passed away peacefully with family by her side, at the Huron Shores Hospice - Tiverton Park Manor, on Thursday, May 27th, 2021, in her 78th year.

Cherished mother of Tracy and Steve Hallam of Kincardine and Todd Farrell and Debbie Farmer of Peterborough.

Loving grandma of Ryan Hallam and Jolene, Tyler Hallam and Mackenzie both of Kincardine and Cameron Farrell of Peterborough.

Dear sister of Brian and Melanie Clark of Bruce Beach.

Predeceased by her parents Percy and Helen (née Wilson) Clark.

Linda was a dearly loved mom, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She had a deep love for her family, who she enjoyed spending time with. She was proud of them in so many ways.

Linda graduated in the nursing class of 1967 and went on to work at the Wingham Hospital and doctor’s office until becoming a full time mom. She kept in contact with her nursing classmates over the years and attended the 50th reunion in 2017. Linda was an avid Red Hatter, loved quilting, going to the tea group at McDonald’s and was known for her crocheted dish clothes which she enjoyed handing out.

Her kind heart, caring attitude and dedication to her family has left a void in the hearts of everyone that knew her. We were blessed to have had her in our lives.

Following Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A private family ceremony will be held in June at the Wingham Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Huron Shores Hospice, Allies for Alley Catz or a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

I can happily say that we have many of Linda's gifted crochet cloths, well used and loved! Linda loved a garage sale, and always picked up incredible crafting supplies for my girls. I will miss her advice, neighbourhood news, and discussions about real estate in Kincardine. My greatest memory is of our nighttime scavenge of rhubarb plants from an abandoned house ...lots of laughs!!!! Love to you all

Condolences to Linda's family. I met her when she helped out with the Huron Shores Lions Club events. She was a tireless worker and we had lots of laughs and visits at July 1 Fireworks, Bun on the Run, and social gatherings. She will surely be missed!
