Obituary for Lois Walden (Mole)

Margaret “Lois” Walden (née Mole) of Kincardine, passed away peacefully, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021, at the age of 85.

Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Donald Walden who predeceased her in February 2014.

First and foremost, Lois was a dedicated and loving mother to Vicki (Brian) Hoover, Monty (Chris) Walden and Tina Walden.

Special Nana to Bryce (Meghan) Hoover, Krista (Rob) MacInnes, Cole (Kaitlyn) Walden and Jaydon Troke and to her great-grandchildren, Riley MacInnes, Conor MacInnes, Alexandra Hoover and Olivia Hoover.

Fondly remembered by her sister Nancy (Jack) Phillips, Jeanette Juniper (Don Rock), sisters-in-law Betty Mole and Darlene Mole, members of the Walden family, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by her parents, Benson and Margaret (née Andrews) Mole, brothers Bob Mole, Doug Mole and Walter Mole (Therese).

Lois was a constant and kind soul who worked alongside her husband for more than 40 years, sewing each morning so Donny could upholster all day. She took pride in keeping an immaculate home and enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, reading and vacations in Florida with many friends and family over the years. Her quiet, sincere and caring manner and unconditional support of those she loved will be her legacy.

A private family service to honour Lois’ life will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, with Pastor Kenneth Craig officiating.

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.
