Our deepest sympathy on the passing of a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Auntie Marianne and I always had a lot of laughs when we meant. Her heart was made of gold and a smile a mile wide not to mention that cute little giggle when she was being naughty. God has received a special Angel and she now rests with Ernie. She will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in peace Auntie Marianne. Sincerely Larry and Jane .

Hello Jane - thank you for your kind words and sharing of memories. Yes, her heart was "made of gold" as you said. Losing Mom has been made even more difficult in these Covid-times, when we couldn't get together to remember and celebrate as we would have liked to. All the best - Sheila

I was sadden to hear of Marianne's passing. I have fond memories of her, Ernie and their family as a child, as I grew up with my grandparents, her Aunt Georgia. Also of she and Ernie's visit with us in Wales many years ago and in later years I have visited her once in Kincardine with my sister, Dianne, and 2 years ago in Tiverton with my husband, Glyn. I always looked forward to her long and newsy Christmas letters which enabled me to keep up with her family. Our sincere sympathy to you all,
Glyn and Lois (Large) Jones

Dear Lois and Glyn Mom so loved to keep up with your family inspite of the distance. She was thrilled when you visited her and would tell all her friends about her special relatives from Wales.

Our Deepest Sympathy to all of the Family on the passing of Marianne. I have known her since childhood then she and Ernie became neighbours at Inverhuron, Our kids always enjoyed the Decorated Gingerbread Cookies Marianne would bring to them at Christmas. Our thoughts are with you all at this sad and difficult time Sincerely Ron & Joyce

Marg Hurlburt Posted at 02:33pm

Thank you Joyce and Ron, great memories from Inverhuron days. The gingerbread people were a tradition in our house to be shared generously. Your friendship to our parents was important. Marg

Aunt Marianne was a very beloved person during my whole life ! She was my father, George’s very special little sister ! She and Uncle Ernie and Bob, Don,Marg and Sheila were a big part of my childhood , and in adulthood as well. Saturday nights in Glammis were special times , fun times at the cottage in Inverhuron , in more recent years the great times we had in Florida. Largo was a very special place for her , where she had so many friends, who became my friends as well. She loved all the activities there, cards , euchre , rummy cube , poker, shuffleboard, golf and the special dinners held in the clubhouse. And , of course , shopping ! I will miss her very much ! Rest In Peace , my dear Aunt !
