Obituary for Roger Clayton

Roger John Clayton, formerly of Kincardine, passed peacefully at Chartwell Westmount Long Term Care Residence in Kitchener, on Monday, December 28, 2020, at the age of 77.

Beloved husband of the late Micheline (née Theroux) Clayton (1997).

Loving father to Michael (Anna) Clayton of Kitchener and Louise Clayton of Milton.

Dear grandpa to Noah, Violeta and William.

Predeceased by his parents John Clayton and Alice May Brown.

He will be missed by the many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that knew him.

Roger was born in Hamilton, Ontario and settled into Kincardine where he worked at Bruce Power until his retirement. Roger spent many years as an active member of the Lake Huron Fishing Club as well as Groundhog Divers II. Roger loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, birdwatching, travelling and John Wayne movies. He also had a passion for hockey and football.

Due to provincial restrictions, a private family service will be held on Wednesday, December 30th.

Final Resting place, Kincardine cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home.

A special thank you to all the nurses and personal support workers who cared for Roger during the last year.
