I was saddened to hear about Vera's passing. Years ago, she answered my call for a volunteer at the Elgin Market Library.
She was cheerful, extremely organized and very efficient. As I got to know her, her other amazing qualities also shone. She was kind, thoughtful, and caring. I enjoyed working with Vera and will miss her. May she rest in peace.

Vera was the nicest person one could hope to meet or know .... always with a smile on her face and a story to tell or memory to share. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who had the fortune to know her.

Vera was one of the first people I met when I started working for the town. She was one of the people that made going to work enjoyable. She was the one that helped Terry and I keep the records straight at the cemetery.
Vera always had a smile on her face and I can remember thinking if I can smile that much through life it will be wonderful.
She will be missed by everyone that ever came in contact with the wonderful lady that she is.

Vera was a wonderful step-mom and loving grandmother. We will miss her very much. We have so many memories of dad (Howard) and Vera. We remember grandma's colouring drawer stocked and ready for the kids, her freshly baked muffins, and her famous cream cheese icing on the chocolate cupcakes. She would always make sure we took some extras home. A treasure that we continue every Christmas, is her recipe for Christmas trash treats. She was a very kind and caring person. We are so glad that she was part of our lives. Thinking of you Patti, Sandra, and families at this time.
