Schmalz, Christina (Spolarich). At South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. She was truly a “one of kind” daughter, wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, friend and neighbour. Christina was born in Consecon, Ontario, on February 5, 1937. Her maiden name was Wilson and she connected with her Scottish roots as she enjoyed the weekly Pipe Band Parade in Kincardine. A career woman, she was the first female Inn Keeper with Holiday Inn in Canada, and later served on the Board of Directors for Ontario Place and the CNE. Christina’s love for travel continues . . . . . In keeping with her wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Her husband David, son Mike Spolarich (Sheila), daughter Kimberly Bryce (John) and family invite you to join us on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at the Best Western-Governor’s Inn in Kincardine at 2:00 p.m. for a Memorial Service and Celebration.
